This KGE Professional German oboe reed is an all-rounder with a very Germanic full sound. The oboe reeds are made in the China, held together with a brass wire and thread binding. The reed cane (KGE) is attached to a quality oboe staple. The reed is scraped to a 'U' shape with fairly large difference between the 'heart' of the reed and the tip; the heart has more cane left on than at the tip of the reed.
These reeds are of a medium strength, 47mm staple. Length of finished reed- 72mm.
