Brecon Bassoon Play Day
Date: Sunday 10th January (this Sunday!)
Time: 10am - 6pm ish
Address: Llangors Youth and Community Centre, Llangorse, Brecon, LD3 7TR
Cost: FREE! (the cost of the day is funded by attendees kind donations)
Rough Schedule for the Day:
10am: playing starts with breaks!
1:00pm: lunch break - make sure to bring a packed lunch (there are no shops!)
2:00pm: more playing
3:30pm: lip break
4:30pm: Informal concert / play-through, to which all are welcome
5:15pm: Tea - leave by 6pm
A fun filled day with lots of bassoon ensemble playing, suiting bassoonists of any standard or age! Please note that you do need to bring a music stand, pencil and a packed lunch as there are no shops nearby!
The day is run by bassoonists Clare Walker and Katherine Soulsby. Crook and Staples bassoon specialist, Matthew Petrie, will also be there to offer help and advice.
Crook and Staple is sponsoring and attending the day with a selection of reeds, tools, cases, and lots of other accessories... (if you would like us to bring in anything particular, drop us an email and we'll try our best to accommodate)
The hall costs about £100 to hire on top of the cost of the music, so donations towards it are greatly appreciated by the organizers who arrange this day purely for the enjoyment of the day.
